The replaceable mechanical cartridge filters are classified as “Vessels” in the sense of PED Directive 2014/68/EU, Article 2, paragraph 2 and are subject to Article 4, paragraph 1, letter (a), of the same Directive.
All the products range is suitable for use with fluids proper to the Group 1 and 2, as defined in Article 13, paragraph 1, letter (a) and letter (b), of PED Directive 2014/68/EU with reference to Regulation (EC) n.1272/2008, in accordance with safety classification A1, A2L and A3 in Annex E of standard EN 378-1:2016. Examples of A1 and A2L refrigerant fluids are:
– HFC R32, R134a, R404A, R407C, R410A, R507;
– HFO R1234yf, R1234ze and blends HFC/HFO R448A, R449A, R450A, R452A, R452B, R445A, R454B, R454C, R513A.
Examples of A3 refrigerant fluids are (HC hydrocarbon):
– R290, R600, R600a, R1270;
The configuration of these filters makes them particularly suitable for installing in the suction line in exclusive combination with the mechanical cartridges series MFC, whose degree of microfiltration block each type of residual impurities in the system, ensuring effective protection of the compressor.
Filters are made entirely of steel; in the CSR..A PLUS series solder connections are made with copper tube EN 12735-1 – Cu-DHP. The shell parts of the filter are assembled by MAG welding with specific weld material.
NOTE: The whole products range is supplied with flange ¼” NPT threaded, so that, if necessary, it is possible to connect an access fitting (see KIT-A) or the ¼” NPT plug both supplied as standard. This flexible solution allows to set up a new access point to the system.
To allow an easy cartridges extraction the choice of installation location must contemplate the distance ‘K’ (see technical datasheet). Considering the importance of filters inside the refrigeration system, we suggest defining a maintenance program to verify the efficiency and in case of necessity to substitute cartridges to ensure the correct function of the system.
